From trails to rails to six-lane highways and fly-ins: discover Delaware County’s transportation history that drives our future today. Delaware County's transportation history is remarkable - featuring everything from indigenous trails to wagon roads, to expressways; rivers that hosted extensive canoe and flatboat traffic; an amazing railroad presence that continues to this day with rail freight; and a growing regional aviation hub. See many photos and illustrations and hear about the evolution of moving people and products within and outside our county, which has always been a crossroads for the state and larger region.
