Event Description:
Mike Hoffman will introduce us to long-time Delaware resident F. Beverly Kelley and present his Ringling Brothers Circus career. Drawing from posters, photographs, and promotional materials from his memorabilia, along with items from other resources, community historian Mike Hoffman will introduce you to longtime Delaware resident F. Beverly Kelley. Mr. Kelley was the publicity director for the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus. A 1928 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, he was a published author, and was involved with multiple civic organizations, both locally and nationwide. Among his many adventures, he was instrumental in rounding up three elephants from the John Robinson Circus and parading them through Delaware's northwest neighborhood area for a photo shoot. There is so much more about this man that will entertain you – join us for a foray into his career adventures with The Greatest Show on Earth! This is a free event.
