Job Description

Consolidated, a cooperative in Central Ohio dedicated to improving the quality of life for our members and communities, is seeking to fill a Natural Gas Technician position. You’ll join a goal-oriented team where you’ll complete service, maintenance, inspections, and construction oversight of natural gas facilities in support of the cooperative's mission, vision and business objectives. You'll also assist with propane service, installation, deliveries, and maintenance, as needed.

Education and Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and four or more years of natural gas construction and operation experience.
  • Able to obtain and maintain federally required Operator Qualification (OQ) status.
  • Class A CDL w/Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
  • Propane service knowledge, or ability to obtain.
  • Able to perform after hours duties and be part of on-call rotation schedule.
  • Line location experience.
  • Capable of making full use of available tools and technologies. Must have mechanical aptitude.
  • Effective communication, organization, and planning skills
  • Accuracy, self-motivation, and emotional intelligence are required.
  • Aptitude to fulfill all the competencies for the position (Job Knowledge; Standards & Practices; Equipment Operations; Metering Operations; Natural Gas Distribution, Installation, & Maintenance; Propane Delivery; Propane Installation / Set Up; Technical Credibility; Technical Documentation; Troubleshooting & Outage Restoration; and Working with Basic Hand, Power Tools, & Technology).
