Date: September 12, 2026
Time: 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM EDT
Event Description:
An intergenerational gathering for adults to share what their life was like in the 1900’s by using provided museum artifacts. Free Event: Have your grandkids or children ever asked what life was like in the 1900’s? Have they used a rotary phone, typed on a typewriter, or watched a movie on a VHS player? Join us for an Intergenerational Gathering, where grandparents, parents, children, and grandchildren can explore the past together. Using items from our archives, families will share stories, try hands-on activities, play games, and discover how everyday life has changed over time. Participants will create a small memory journal to exchange and continue filling with stories and drawings at home. Enjoy a tour of our archives, test your knowledge of historical objects, and explore our 1817 historic home. This fun-filled afternoon will spark curiosity, laughter, conversation, and lasting family memories.
